Financial Crimes Agent

CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Integrated risk management, fraud and financial crimes Assistant Director, as a Financial Crimes Intermediate Officer you will be responsible for conducting in-depth investigations into suspicious financial activities and playing a decision-making role in various fraud cases. Implement strategic priorities in accordance with operational standards and procedures. Act as a coach to member-clients and resources in Personal and Commercial Banking as well as subsidiaries to ensure their understanding of sound fraud practices and requirements. You will work closely with law enforcement and financial institutions to identify, investigate and recover funds that have been involved in suspicious financial activities. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma in business administration or related field
  •  Three (3) years' relevant experience in fraud, regulatory compliance or the financial services industry
  •  Ability to plan and manage deadlines effectively
  •  Experience in multiple and diversified customer services
  • Proficiency in both official languages and Spanish would be an asset

  •  Knowledge of the financial institution environment

  •  Must be able to interact effectively with customers and other stakeholders
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

WORKING CONDITIONS


This position requires great flexibility in terms of working hours.  Scheduled shifts during the day, evening, night and weekend are planned, as well as call-back periods in response to emerging situations.
