The Velocity Program is not your average internship or co-op! This is a customized experience that focuses on providing you with the development and tools you need to grow your career. After successfully completing a co-op or internship with top performance, we will work with you to establish your future placements. As a result, you will get to learn, grow, and experiment within different areas of both Scotiabank and Tangerine!

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Real Estate & Corporate Services department in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Workplace Standards and Governance

• Support the maintenance of Global Workplace Standards, guidelines, templates, and governance tools.
• Track feedback, proposed updates, decisions, exceptions, and related action items.
• Research workplace trends, design innovation, sustainability, employee experience, and industry practices.
• Coordinate inputs and deliverables from internal partners and external consultants.

Program Coordination and Reporting

• Maintain schedules, action logs, risk and issue trackers, status updates, and project documentation.
• Collect and organize information related to project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Assist with dashboards, presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and executive updates.
• Follow up on assigned actions to ensure information remains accurate and current.

Stakeholder and Team Support

• Support meeting preparation, note-taking, action tracking, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with Workplace Design, Project Delivery, Real Estate, HR, Technology, Procurement, Finance, consultants, architects, and vendors.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and escalate risks, questions, or conflicting information to the Senior Manager.
• Contribute ideas that improve consistency, efficiency, transparency, and employee experience.

Risk and Professional Development

• Complete assigned work in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, values, and business controls.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables, meet agreed timelines, and actively seek feedback.
• Participate in learning opportunities and special projects assigned by Global Workplace Governance leadership.

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

• You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program in architecture, interior design, corporate real estate, business, project management, data analytics, communications, or a related discipline.
• You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future. 
• You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions and/or hackathons. 

• Interest in workplace strategy, design, governance, employee experience, or corporate real estate.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and professional written and visual materials.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Experience with Power BI, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or visualization tools is considered an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, take initiative, and collaborate effectively.
• French or Spanish language capability is considered an asset.
