As part of the Global Wealth Management Digital team the Senior Digital Product Owner, International Wealth Management (IWM) has passion and drive to enhance the best in class experience our clients receive across our digital platforms which encompass client journeys of managing and monitoring their wealth, interacting with their Wealth Advisors and planning for the future. We build industry leading web and mobile platforms supporting Scotia Wealth Management’s international clients.
 
Understanding the current wealth management industry and bringing in new ideas, competitive views and concepts to drive excellent client journeys and experiences is key to your success in this role. 
 
The Senior Digital Product Owner IWM assumes end-to-end ownership for various digital products by leading cross-functional teams to conceptualize, define and deliver client and business value. Leveraging their ability to organize and motivate teams, they will work with our Wealth business partners, other key stakeholders, UX researchers & designer and software developers to translate client and business needs into actionable backlog deliverables and follow through to completion. 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Help define the vision and strategy for how IWM provides a digital experience that delights its clients and supports business objectives
• Create & maintain a detailed prioritized product roadmap
• Own the relationship with business stakeholders to ensure their objectives are matched with the right digital technology products
• Work with engineering and product design teams to determine desirable, viable and feasible technical solutions and reasonable implementation timelines
• Engage day-to-day with the Agile teams writing and clarifying product briefs, participating in delivery planning and reviews, backlog grooming and prioritization
• Facilitate problem solving as required, working closely with design and development on implementation trade offs
• Work with support teams when there are client or system issues that require business input, investigation assistance or development changes
• Engage with analytics teams to establish, measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for new features
• Manage engagement with diverse bank stakeholders and effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/customer journey
• Understand and keep up to date with emerging technologies, trends and innovative solutions being implemented across the industry
• Maintain an understanding of the wealth industry, stock trading, and trends in digital banking
• Help elevate the Product Management practice at Global Wealth Management and create an inclusive and supportive team culture

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

• Fluent communication in Spanish and English is required
• 5+ years of Digital Product Management experience creating digital products that clients love to use and drive business objectives
• Experience working on front end authenticated web and mobile products, preferably in the investing / banking industry
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Industry designations are an asset (e.g. CFA, CSC, etc.)
• Experience in wealth management, brokerage, or trading is an asset
• Strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels in the organization
• Proven ability to take initiative within a large organization to build strong relationships based on outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent project delivery skills, with proven accomplishments leading cross-functional projects
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• A curious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty
• The ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology to diverse audiences
• The ability to apply knowledge of how a product is designed, built, deployed, and maintained in an enterprise environment
