Rogers is seeking for a Senior System expert to lead the evolution of our network monitoring platforms. You’ll work alongside industry professionals who will support your overall personal and professional growth in the organization to achieve our goals. As a Technical Expert, you will participate in the evolution of our applications systems along with engaging in the delivery of high-quality software-based network monitoring solutions.

What you will do:
As a senior member of the Service Monitoring Systems team, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced monitoring solutions across wireless and wireline technologies. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our monitoring platforms, driving innovation through software development, automation, and integration with both commercial and internally developed tools.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners (e.g., Netscout, Gigamon, OpenText, Cisco, RCATSOne, Commscope, Witbe) to deliver scalable, high-performance monitoring systems that enhance network visibility, performance optimization, and incident resolution.

• Define and drive long-term vision, architecture and roadmap for network monitoring platforms.
• Integrate and administrate the different monitoring tools ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow.
• Lead the development of custom software solutions and automation frameworks.
• Mentor junior team members and support a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Gather and translate internal client requirements and align them with the company strategic goals.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve process efficiency and system performance.
• Implement methodologies specific to the software development lifecycle to design and deploy monitoring solutions aligned with business needs.
• Explore advanced technologies such as machine learning and AI to enhance network monitoring capabilities.

 

What You bring:

• Bilingual (French and English) to collaborate with colleagues on a national scale.
• A degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong software development skills with proficiency in languages on Python, Java and databases.
• Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols; familiarity with SNMP, packet capture, etc.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and articulate complex technical concepts.
• A passion for innovation, automation, and continuous learning in the fields of networking and software engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native technologies is a plus.
• A team-oriented approach, thriving in a diverse and collaborative environment.
