The Role
We are looking for a Robotic Engineer, Advanced Manufacturing to support our Automotive and Surface Transportation (AST) Research Centre. The incumbent would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The engineer will be working at NRC’s Boucherville facility implementing robotic systems. They will be responsible for the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies that will help Canadian manufacturers with their innovation and improve their productivity.
In addition, the ideal candidate would be a team player with a strong technical background and the ease and ability to communicate effectively with partner organizations.

EducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Robotic or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
A Master’s degree or PhD would be considered an asset.

CompensationThe intent of this hiring action is to staff this position at the RCO-2 level with a salary range of $83,985 to $116,641.
Note: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
