Salary range (but not limited to):

94,200 - 115,200

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

Help shape how Intact uses AI and automation across Risk Management, creating more capacity for the work that requires professional judgment, effective challenge and meaningful business partnership.


Reporting to the Director, Technology Risk Management, you will build and deploy AI assistants, agentic workflows and practical automation for enterprise, financial, operational and technology risk teams.


As an individual contributor, you will translate shared priorities into reliable, reusable solutions that strengthen Risk Management as a whole.

 

What you'll do here

Build a Risk Management-wide portfolio

  • Partner across Risk Management to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities for AI and automation.
  • Develop a shared roadmap that balances enterprise priorities, team-specific needs, value, feasibility, control requirements and ongoing maintenance.
  • Simplify processes before automating them and focus investment on sustainable, reusable solutions.

Build, deploy and maintain solutions

  • Develop AI assistants and agentic workflows that retrieve information, support analysis and execute authorized tasks through approved enterprise tools.
  • Automate activities such as evidence collection, document comparison, assessment preparation, issue follow-up and management reporting.
  • Integrate solutions with approved data sources, knowledge repositories and risk management platforms.
  • Own the full solution lifecycle, from prototyping and testing to deployment, monitoring, support and continuous improvement.

Make AI reliable, responsible and useful in daily work

  • Implement access controls, source traceability, testing, human review and exception handling while preserving independent risk oversight and clear human accountability for judgments and decisions.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, Data and AI Governance partners.
  • Document solutions and establish support practices that a lean team can sustain.
  • Train colleagues and help them adopt new tools with confidence.
  • Measure results through time saved, improved quality, faster turnaround and sustained adoption.

 

What you bring to the table

  • Post secondary degree in data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, software engineering, analytics, or a related field - is required.
  • Proven experience in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of AI or automation solutions used in a business context - is required.
  • Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language; experience with structured and unstructured data, as well as with integrating data sources, knowledge repositories, and enterprise platforms - is required.
  • Solid knowledge of large language models, AI assistants, agent-based workflows, search-based applications, APIs, and enterprise integrations - is required.
  • Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions: requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in evaluating the reliability of AI results and in implementing controls related to security, data protection, traceability, human oversight, and exception handling.
  • Ability to design reliable, reusable, scalable, and easy-to-maintain solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams, risk professionals, and high-level stakeholders.
  • Independence, curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, or a regulated industry is a plus.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) – For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

In your first year, you will have established a Risk Management-wide roadmap and delivered reliable solutions embedded in daily work, with measurable gains in capacity, quality and turnaround time and clear ownership, documentation and support.
