What you'll be doing

Our Human Resources team is focused on building a strong, inclusive, and high-performing workplace experience across the bank. As a Senior Consultant, Workforce Experience, you'll lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives that help strengthen culture and improve the employee experience. You'll design and execute comprehensive workforce reviews, manage sensitive interviews and stakeholder communications, and synthesize complex inputs to identify meaningful insights. You'll translate findings into strategic, evidence-based recommendations for senior leaders, helping to inform decisions and drive sustainable improvement. Working closely with HR and business leaders, you'll ensure insights are practical, actionable, and aligned to broader organizational priorities.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Research and Program Design - Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research approaches, including surveys, focus groups, and structured interviews, to assess employee experience, engagement, and organizational culture. Capture meaningful perspectives and generate insights that inform enterprise-wide strategies.

  • Data Analysis and Insight Generation - Analyze a range of data sources, including employee feedback, interview findings, Human Resources (HR) metrics, case data, and workforce datasets, to identify trends, systemic issues, and opportunities for improvement. Translate complex information into clear, relevant insights for decision-making.

  • Workforce Reviews - Lead in-depth workforce reviews involving complex and highly sensitive workplace matters. Identify, assess, and escalate risks and concerns while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, applicable legislation, and sound governance practices.

  • Reporting and Presentations - Synthesize research findings into clear, compelling reports and presentations tailored to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Help leaders understand implications, evaluate options, and make informed strategic decisions.

  • Collaboration and Strategic Influence - Partner with HR, business leaders, and internal stakeholders to align insights with business priorities and shape workforce initiatives. Build trusted relationships that support continuous improvement and meaningful change.

Who you are

  • You're passionate about people. You find meaning in relationships and surround yourself with a diverse network of partners. You connect with others through respect and authenticity.

  • You know that details matter. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.

  • You act like an owner. You thrive when you're empowered to take initiative, go above and beyond, and deliver results.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.

  • You have a degree in human resources, business, psychology, sociology, or a related field. It's an asset if you have a master's degree.

  • You can demonstrate experience in HR policies, practices, and processes, with particular experience in employee relations, qualitative and quantitative research, and workforce insights. It's an asset if you have experience supporting sensitive workplace reviews or culture-related initiatives.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
