What you'll be doing

The Fraud Analytics team manages transactional monitoring systems to detect suspicious activity and helps protect our clients and the bank from fraud losses. As a Consultant, Fraud Analytics, you'll independently design and deliver moderately complex statistical analysis using advanced analytical techniques and data mining tools to support fraud monitoring, detection, and prevention solutions. You'll use tools such as Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Structured Query Language (SQL), Alteryx, and Python to analyze fraud trends, develop and improve detection algorithms, and support rules management within CIBC’s fraud mitigation systems. You'll apply predictive modeling techniques such as optimization, neural networks, logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, and sampling to strengthen fraud strategies. You'll also implement new approaches and continuously enhance existing monitoring strategies to reduce fraud losses and minimize client impact. Working closely with internal and external partners, you'll help support the successful deployment of fraud solutions across the bank’s ecosystem.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.
