What you’ll be doing

Compliance and Global Regulatory Affairs (CGRA) - EWC provides timely and proactive advice and independent oversight of CIBC’s compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. EWC works to manage and mitigate regulatory risk by working with business units.

The M&T Analyst will support the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide RCM policies, procedures, standards, and supplementary guidance — contributing to the analysis of new and pending laws, regulations, and industry commitments to ensure relevant risks are identified, escalated, and addressed through well-designed policies, procedures, and communications. Governance processes will be supported through disciplined issue documentation, risk escalation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely and transparent resolution.

Central to this role is a passion for methodology design and process excellence. The analyst will contribute to RCM and EWC process design, provide methodological advisory services to both the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defence, and draft components of methodology updates, templates, and procedural guidance — ensuring alignment with established standards and evolving regulatory requirements. Selected workstreams and improvement initiatives will be supported with appropriate escalation to drive meaningful and sustainable enhancements to the compliance control environment.

The role further demands strong communication capabilities and a change management mindset articulating RCM concepts clearly across all levels of the organization, leading stakeholder consultation and outreach, and owning specific training modules, job aids, and content updates. Continuous improvement in capability building will be informed by QC KPI/KRI performance metrics, spanning Oversight Functions, RCM Program Management, and PCM support.

How you will succeed

• Regulatory Oversight – Regulatory Oversight – You will support the analysis of new and pending laws, regulations, and industry commitments that affect areas of responsibility, ensuring that relevant issues and organizational risks are identified and raised for consideration by management in the formulation and revision of policies and procedures for regulatory compliance. You will provide advice, recommendations, and assistance in developing policies, procedures, training, and communications to ensure compliance. Support governance processes through issue, risk, and recommendation documentation and escalation, coordinating stakeholder follow-ups, meeting materials, and implementation tracking to ensure timely and transparent resolution.   
• Methodology Design – Apply a passion for designing and enhancing RCM methodologies to enable effective compliance risk management. Draft components of methodology updates, templates, and procedural guidance for review and approval, ensuring alignment with established standards and evolving regulatory requirements. Support selected workstreams or improvement initiatives, with appropriate escalation as needed, to drive meaningful and sustainable enhancements to the compliance control environment.
• Effective Communication – Leverage strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate RCM concepts clearly and succinctly across all levels of the organization. Support the communication of changes, findings, and priorities across impacted groups to ensure awareness, alignment, and timely action. Contribute to the preparation of governance materials, reporting inputs, and deck preparation that inform leadership decision-making and promote transparency across Oversight Functions.
• Change Management Mindset – Proactively manage the impact of change to people, process, and technology through effective communication and training. Own specific training modules, job aids, and content updates to ensure teams are equipped to operate within evolving RCM frameworks. Drive continuous improvement through automated learning and development of business-level RCM training — informed by QC KPI/KRI key performance metrics — spanning Oversight Functions and RCM Program Management, and supporting PCM as improvement opportunities are identified.
• Continuous Improvement & Insights – Contribute to root cause analysis and follow-up actions for deficiencies and execution gaps. Track recurring themes, metrics, and action plans to support broader reporting and insights, identifying patterns that inform strategic decisions and program enhancements. Assist in benchmarking initiatives and the application of lessons learned to continuously raise the bar on Quality Control practices across RCM and EWC.

Who you are

• RCM Program Design and Governance - You can demonstrate experience in and have RCM Program Design and Governance with relevant risk or regulatory compliance policy and governance experience to design policies and procedures for the RCM Program. Familiar with RCM Program (or equivalent) to support the design and/or enhance the existing methodologies and processes with a continuous improvement mindset. A good understanding of industry leading practices and emerging trends related to RCM
• Communication - Have good oral & written communication skills to train and share learnings with stakeholders and other Compliance resources; to clearly and succinctly communicate RCM Program requirements and how they should be operationalized
• Change Management - Have experience assessing how new or revised methodologies and processes impact people, processes and technology
