  • Be curious about new digital formats and be eager to experiment with them in creating multimedia content for all Radio-Canada digital platforms.
  • Evaluate all facets of a production and programming; assist in evaluating the performance of personnel and freelance contributors.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

What you bring:

  • University degree or equivalent in communications; communications and journalism; communications, writing and multimedia; or any other relevant university degree.
  • Five (5) years’ journalistic experience of which at least three (3) must involve work in radio and/or television broadcasting.
  • Ability and confidence to make good decisions rapidly and frequently, often under deadline; ability to handle stress and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to keep track of a number of simultaneous activities, to plan and prioritize and to analyze complex journalistic and operational issues.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and direct creative, experienced and self-motivated staff with a consultative, respectful and ''team approach'' style.

  • Superior editorial judgment.
  • Good knowledge of issues affecting the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
  • Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada programming.
  • Passion for emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
