Radio-Canada’s Audio and Radio division is seeking a Project Lead. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Professional Development and Resource Planning, you will develop staff assignment plans for ICI PREMIÈRE, ICI MUSIQUE and Radio-Canada OHdio. You will analyze and leverage operational data to ensure seamless execution in compliance with collective agreements and internal policies.


In this role, you will serve as a strategic planning adviser to production teams and management. You will negotiate terms with key stakeholders and develop creative solutions to maintain operational continuity while ensuring compliance with corporate standards and effective project tracking. 


You will also co-ordinate the flow of information across all relevant departments to establish assignment schedules and secure necessary approvals for production projects.


The ideal candidate demonstrates tact, discretion, leadership and sound judgment when recommending alternatives as project needs change.


This position operates on a daytime schedule with scheduled paid on-call shifts outside regular working hours to support Radio-Canada’s 24/7 operating environment. On-call schedules are established in consultation with management.


Role:


Plan and co-ordinate projects based on available information and production and/or post-production needs. Schedule and assign team resources to meet stakeholder needs, ensuring all work adheres to corporate standards and policies, budgets and timelines.


Key Tasks:

  • Co-ordinate human resource requirements across ICI PREMIÈRE, ICI MUSIQUE and Radio-Canada OHdio production projects, securing all required authorizations.
  • Collaborate and negotiate with production teams during workforce planning.
  • Address operational issues with stakeholders and recommend workarounds.
  • Complete the appropriate forms and documents; prepare the necessary correspondence and reports based on available information, following up as required.


Work Schedule: 36.25-hour workweek; occasional overtime or rotational shifts required.


Physical Effort: Normal physical effort.


Working Conditions: Time constraints, more than twice a week, most weeks.


This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.


Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • College diploma (DCS) or equivalent.
  • Three (3) or more years’ relevant experience in a similar or related role.


Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, self-direction and discretion.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Flair for finding creative solutions and suggesting workarounds.
  • Collaborative team player who actively shares knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of French.
