Your Role

The Regional Media team is seeking a Digital Operations Producer to modernize and streamline workflows across our regional stations nationwide.

Reporting to the Manager, Content Development and Production, you will fulfil a vital, newly created role as the national point of contact responsible for evaluating emerging technologies, standardizing practices and driving operational deployment in the field. By scaling successful local initiatives into network-wide standards, you will eliminate redundant efforts and build strong connections among regional experts to foster continuous knowledge sharing.

Bridging technology strategy and daily operations, you will guide teams toward efficient, audience-focused practices and establish new, digital-first standards and workflows tailored to an evolving media landscape.

You will have the autonomy to exercise leadership, judgment and initiative to embed a culture of agility and innovation across the network.

Key Tasks:

• Map digital production workflows across all regions to identify best practices and apply lessons learned from pilot projects to standardize operations nationwide.
• Connect technical experts across regional stations to enhance the sharing of innovative solutions, specifically by establishing a technical forum and further integrating production staff into Regional Media's Innovation Team Space.
• Track emerging tech trends and deliver strategic recommendations to Regional Media leadership.
• Design, develop and implement efficient digital production processes tailored to the unique needs of Radio-Canada regional stations while aligning with overall strategic priorities.
• Plan, organize and co-ordinate user training and professional development programs on media production tools and workflows.
• Partner with regional teams to execute pilot projects testing and evaluating new production methods.
• Develop vendor relationships and draft technical specifications.
• Foster strong, collaborative partnerships across divisions, including T&I, News, Digital Products, Innovation, Audio and CBC teams.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

This role can be based in the following locations: Ottawa, Edmonton, Regina, Sudbury, Toronto, Vancouver or Winnipeg.

What You Bring:

• College diploma or university degree in a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years; relevant experience in media, IT or communications.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of cross-platform production, publishing and broadcasting, with strong digital media expertise.
• Curious mindset with a passion for emerging technologies.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
• Initiative.
• High degree of independence in managing priorities and ongoing projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adaptability.
• French (mandatory).
• English (asset).

Occasional travel to regional stations is required.
