This is a nine (9) month contract position.

Working alongside the Promotion and Digital Entertainment teams, you will gather requirements, and define and lead Radio-Canada’s French-language digital strategy for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Working in alignment with Digital Entertainment initiatives, you will co-ordinate the rollout of marketing and content plans across digital and social media platforms. You will leverage data, promotional opportunities and strategic content partnerships to achieve two primary objectives:

  • Maximize live viewership among French-speaking Canadians.
  • Maximize audience engagement and participation during the national voting phase to select Canada’s representative, while mobilizing domestic and international support for Canada’s artist during the main competition.

This role serves as the primary liaison between teams across Radio-Canada, CBC and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing Strategy:

  • Liaise with the CRM and strategy teams to ensure co-ordinated and aligned messaging.
  • Design audience journeys that convert awareness into engagement, engagement into votes and votes into live viewership.
  • Tailor strategies across each project phase: call for submissions, artist selection, public voting, winner announcement, competition preparation and the live broadcast.
  • Maintain consistent messaging, content, calls to action and timelines across all touchpoints.

Website and Voting Platform:

  • Define the content and engagement strategy for Radio-Canada’s Eurovision website.
  • Plan required content and features for the public voting window (October 8-18).
  • Help draft the request for proposals (RFP) for the digital voting solution.
  • Collaborate on selecting, implementing, testing and launching the voting platform.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning editorial, marketing, product, technology, data, security and legal.
  • Maintain a fast, reliable flow of information regarding submissions, artists, announcements and results.
  • Manage tracking and conversion requirements to activate website and platform audience data.
  • Oversee data synchronization between collection platforms and audience activation systems in collaboration with technical specialists.

Data and Relationship Marketing:

  • Work with the CRM team to engage and re-engage audiences via newsletters, push notifications and targeted communications aligned with the project’s relationship marketing strategy.

Social Media and Content:

  • Develop the overarching French-language social media strategy for the project.
  • Establish editorial guidelines, content formats, publication schedules and engagement tactics.
  • Plan promotional content designed to expand reach, drive participation and boost live viewership.
  • Co-ordinate content production across TV, audio and digital teams.
  • Map out content needs for each phase: artist reveals, behind-the-scenes access, voting guides, community outreach, result announcements and final preparations.
  • Ensure Radio-Canada and CBC content complement each other seamlessly.
  • Identify opportunities to adapt, share or co-produce content with CBC and the EBU.

Content Creators and Influencers:

  • Develop a collaboration strategy for relevant content creators and influencers.
  • Define their role in driving artist discovery, building community support, encouraging voting and promoting the live broadcast.
  • Align organic and paid creator campaigns with broader marketing efforts.
  • Ensure all partnerships comply with Radio-Canada’s brand positioning and competition rules.

Project Management:

  • Build and maintain the master schedule for all digital activities.
  • Co-ordinate announcements, approvals, deliverables and communications across all stakeholders.
  • Identify dependencies, mitigate risks, track pending decisions and ensure timely followup.
  • Lead co-ordination meetings and produce concise decision logs.
  • Foster close collaboration with the CBC and EBU teams.
  • Supervise a Digital Editor responsible for creating, adapting, integrating and publishing promotional and editorial content that meets Content and Marketing team needs.
  • Ensure projects adhere to schedules, budgets, quality standards and approval workflows.

Performance Indicators:

Your performance will be evaluated based on the following key metrics:

Contribution to Organizational Objectives:

  • Total French-speaking Canadian live viewership numbers.
  • Traffic and engagement across Radio-Canada digital destinations, including overall voting participation volume.

Specific KPIs:

  • Social media reach, engagement and community growth.
  • Subscriber growth across newsletters, push notifications and other CRM channels.
  • Content performance and influencer collaboration metrics.
  • Adherence to schedules, budgets and technical milestones.
  • Quality of co-ordination between Radio-Canada, CBC, the EBU and external partners.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in digital project management, social media strategy or digital marketing.
  • University degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a related field.
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering high-profile integrated campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of web platforms, social media ecosystems, relationship marketing, data analytics and user journeys.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional editorial, marketing, technical and creative teams simultaneously.
  • Experience implementing digital platforms or evaluating technical RFPs.
  • Exceptional planning, prioritization and schedule management skills.
  • Ability to make prompt, sound decisions in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong analytical skills focused on performance tracking and continuous optimization.
