Summary

We are seeking an innovative and self-driven AI and Automation Developer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions. Your primary focus will be designing and developing scalable data pipelines, process automation solutions, custom AI agents, and real-time data analytics applications. The ideal candidate has strong foundations in programming and database design, hands-on experience with generative AI workflows, and a proven ability to explore and interpret data to answer key business questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Exploration & Analysis: Explore, navigate, and interpret complex data to answer key business questions and drive data-informed decision-making. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders and business primes to understand functional requirements and deliver effective technical solutions. 
  • Solution Development: Design, prototype, and develop:  
    Scalable data pipelines and robust automation solutions. 
    Custom AI agents utilizing modern frameworks. 
    Real-time data analytics applications. 
  • Innovative and solution-focused: Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and contributes creative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer-centric: Demonstrates a strong understanding of customer needs and leverages this knowledge to deliver exceptional service and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented: Meticulously gathers and analyzes information to effectively identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Growth-minded: Actively seeks opportunities to develop new skills and apply them to enhance job performance and contribute to organizational goals. 

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to navigate uncertainty and work independently. 
  • Solid foundational knowledge of programming principles, computing concepts, database design, and API integrations. 
  • Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries. 
  • Practical programming experience in Python, Java, or similar languages, coupled with foundational troubleshooting and debugging skills. 
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Generative AI tools, prompt engineering techniques, and agentic frameworks (such as LangChain). 
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with distributed messaging and search technologies (e.g., Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Elasticsearch, BigQuery).
  • Comfort and versatility working across multiple programming paradigms and languages (e.g., transitioning between Python, Java, and SQL).
  • Experience developing mid-to-large-scale applications and deploying them on Kubernetes.
  • Background in developing custom algorithms and pattern recognition programs.
  • Hands-on experience architecting high-throughput real-time data pipelines and batch ETL processes.
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) tools, data analytics, and dashboard creation.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and complex debugging capabilities.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and configuring CI/CD pipelines. 

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
