POSITION OVERVIEW

You will run the layer that turns BDC's marketing and client data into decisions its executives act on, and you will own its execution end to end.

You develop and assemble the materials required for stakeholder management and team cadence.

You own how AI lands in Client Analytics. That covers which work gets agentized and in what order, the agents themselves, the guardrails on them, how the team adopts them, and the value they release. You hold the portfolio of the team's initiatives and run the monthly and quarterly planning behind it. You are our working counterpart to IT and enterprise data governance, overseeing how marketing data is governed and the rules for building AI on top of it.

This is an individual contributor role that leads and drives cross-functional marketing analytics and AI initiatives. You structure the work, do a good share of the analysis yourself, and mobilize specialists.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Take initiatives from strategy through to execution, by influence rather than authority. Set the cadence, sequence the work, hold partners to dated commitments, and escalate before a date slips. Facilitate working sessions with subject-matter experts across Marketing and IT, and close each one with named owners and dates. Structure ambiguous business questions into clear decision frameworks, identify trade-offs, risks, and dependencies, and present the results to executives in a form they can decide from: objective, evidence, options, risk, recommended next step, on one page.
  • Perform data analysis across business, marketing, client, and market. You query, transform, analyze and validate the data yourself, in SQL against our Databricks environment, in Power BI semantic models, and across our marketing, client, campaign and CRM data. Develop measurement frameworks that connect marketing activities to business outcomes, including campaign performance, attribution, segmentation effectiveness, lead quality, pipeline contribution, client engagement and other key marketing performance indicators.
  • Deploy AI across the team. You are accountable for the deployment: which workflows get agentized and in what order, the rollout waves and their guardrails, the training that gets everyone running an agent of their own, and the standards the team builds to. You build and run agents yourself in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Databricks. Preparing our Power BI models so Copilot answers from them correctly, through AI instructions, AI data schemas and verified answers, is part of this job.
  • Run the portfolio of initiatives and the planning behind it. Hold the single view of what Client Analytics has committed, and run the monthly and quarterly planning that allocates capacity against it: what is in, what is out, and what slipped.
  • Show what value is generated. Develop business value of the team's work and impact, as well as of the portfolio of initiatives and AI.
  • Be Client Analytics' counterpart to IT on data governance and AI. Work with IT and enterprise data governance to define how marketing data is governed and the rules for building AI on top of it: platform access, governed data, guardrails, and practices documented well enough for audit.

  • Apply business judgment, not just analytics. Understand the market, the entrepreneur, the product, the sales motion, operational realities and the financial implications behind the numbers. Connect analytical findings to business decisions and make trade-offs explicit so leaders understand not only what is happening but also why it matters and which actions are worth taking.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must-haves

  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in analytics, business, economics, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Eight or more years across strategy consulting, analytics or performance measurement, including at least two years of hands-on data work you did yourself.
  • SQL and Power BI, plus experience designing or operating data architectures or comparable complex systems, with a working understanding of how data moves end to end: the applications that capture it, the pipelines that move it, the models that shape it, and the reports and campaigns that consume it. You should be able to take a number off an executive slide, trace it back to the system that produced it, and say where it could have gone wrong on the way.
  • A record of landing deliverables through people outside your reporting line.
  • Something built with AI that at least one other person depended on for real work, and the ability to describe how it failed and what you changed.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written. This role prepares and presents material for executive audiences in both official languages and facilitates working sessions across BDC in both.
