Job Description

Aramark is currently seeking a Cook for the Food Services Department at John Abbott College in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

LOCATION: John Abbott College (21 275 Lakeshore Road, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC H9X 3L9)
POSITION: Cook
SALARY: $21.11/hour
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (following the academic calendar)

START DATE: August 2026

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook the daily menu according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Responsible for preparing and setting up the salad bar
• Ensure high-quality food service and customer satisfaction.
• Cook and finish items on the menu.
• Participate in station setup.
• Help optimize food costs.
• Monitor and record food temperatures.
• Prepare food items for catering events.
• Participate in ordering and inventory processes.
• Assist with organizing and storing deliveries according to established standards.
• Ensure proper food rotation at service stations and when receiving orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in promoting various marketing and promotional initiatives.
• Perform any other related duties required to support food service operations.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• MAPAQ Food Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, honesty, and good judgment.
• Customer service oriented.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is a strong asset and will be highly considered.
