Key duties

  • Perform primary accounting functions in accordance with clearly defined procedures.
  • Provide professional, proficient service to external and internal customers.
  • Prepare correspondence via email or letter.
  • Verify accuracy of accounts, reconcile and investigate discrepancies.
  • Perform tasks based on provided training, reference documentation, and standard processes.
  • Determine financial valuations using manuals, tariffs, or other sources for pricing/investigation.
  • Identify procedure/process deviations for review.
  • Initiate primary/intermediate communication to investigate missing or incorrect data or documents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years office experience;
  • Degree in progress in Accounting, Finance or related field, an asset;
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Ability to not just multitask but to also anticipate process before directed to do so;
  • Ability to run reports, analyze data and prepare spreadsheets;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to prioritize duties and use good judgement;
  • Bilinguism, an asset;
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
