Flight Attendant - Proactive hiring

Salary: $34.63/hour once you become a certified flight attendant

Key duties  

  • Safety First: You prioritize security and can execute emergency procedures while ensuring passenger and personal safety.  
  • Empathy and Warmth: You listen attentively to customers and respond to their needs with professionalism and care.  
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You are comfortable interacting with diverse travelers and ensuring clear communication.  
  • Professionalism and Impeccable Presentation: You wear the uniform with pride and adhere to company grooming standards.  
  • Regulatory Compliance: You understand and respect the industry’s strict regulations and policies.
  • Quality service: Provide inflight snacks, meal, and beverage service including spirits and alcoholic drinks. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Valid Canadian passport that allows travel to all countries served by Air Canada;
  • Willingness to relocate to one of our In-Flight bases: Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary;
  • Mandatory 8-week full-time training in Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver (at a lower rate);  
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment;
  • Candidates must be available for shift work in a 24/7 operational environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays;
  • To ensure that you have the security clearance required by Transport Canada, we will undertake a criminal background check on all candidates;
  • Flight Attendants conduct safety-critical work and as such, Air Canada medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test and are expected to be free of any intoxicating substances;

Language Skills:
