About the Role

We’re looking for a customer-focused, results-driven SMB Renewals Specialist to support our small and medium-sized business customers. In this role, you’ll manage subscription renewals, respond to customer inquiries, assist with onboarding, and build relationships that support customer retention.

You’ll be responsible for meeting or exceeding quarterly renewal revenue and retention targets while delivering timely, high-quality customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable managing multiple accounts, and experienced using AI tools to improve productivity and customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the renewal process for a portfolio of SMB accounts, from initial outreach through renewal completion.
• Meet or exceed quarterly renewal revenue and customer retention targets.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding subscription questions, renewal timelines, pricing, and account needs.
• Respond to customer emails promptly and professionally, following established service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Proactively engage customers ahead of subscription expiration to reinforce value, address concerns, and secure timely renewals.
• Identify accounts at risk of cancellation or downsizing and collaborate with internal teams to resolve concerns.
• Prepare renewal quotes and coordinate pricing, contract discussions, and approvals within established guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding new customers to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
• Use approved AI tools to support customer communications, summarize account information, and streamline daily workflows.
• Review AI-generated content for accuracy and relevance while following company requirements for handling customer information.
• Maintain accurate customer records, renewal opportunities, and forecasts in the CRM.
• Identify trends and insights from customer feedback and share recommendations with internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to stay aligned on best practices.
• Provide daily feedback on customer needs, recurring issues, and workflow opportunities to support continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• Overall Work Experience: 3 years of work experience or 2 years of work experience if a graduate of Sales/Marketing Related Courses.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months of hands-on experience working with AI tools or platforms.
• Experience in a customer-facing role, such as customer support, account management, renewals, customer success, or sales.
• Comfort using CRM systems and other business tools to manage customer interactions and track progress.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow defined workflows and SLAs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment to resolve issues with minimal escalation while recognizing when escalation is necessary.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on speed, quality, customer satisfaction, and quarterly target achievement.
• Ability to communicate product value, address objections, and guide customers toward renewal decisions.
• Confidence using AI tools and reviewing their output thoughtfully.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sales experience or a sales-oriented mindset.
• Experience managing SMB accounts or a high volume of customer interactions.
• Experience working with subscription-based products or services.
• A track record of meeting revenue, retention, or customer service targets.

What Success Looks Like

You consistently achieve quarterly renewal and retention targets, respond to customers within established SLAs, maintain accurate account records and forecasts, and use customer feedback and AI tools to improve the customer experience.
