Mobile Quality Lab Canada is responsible for quality of all mobile products launched in Canadian market. At MQL, we aim to set the mobile industry standard in quality by holding ourselves accountable through our integrity, expertise and education to our customers.

As a member of Mobile Quality Lab Canada, Bilingual QA Engineer performs variety of testing/verification/validation on latest mobile technologies and Galaxy AI in English and Canadian French. In addition, one will evaluate speech recognition / text-to-speech / translation for Canadian French on our latest Galaxy devices. Leading the mobile industry in Canada and plays critical role to deliver worlds’ leading technologies to Canadian market. Sets new standards on quality of new services and technologies allowing best performance results. Requires to work under pressure and fast paced environment with multiple project deadlines.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Requires to verify and validate new mobile technology features introduced in Canadian market in both English and Canadian French
• Perform manual testing and evaluation of Canadian French ASR, TTS, and translation features.
• Assess accuracy, fluency, and usability of outputs across different scenarios.
• Document issues, prepare evaluation reports, and provide feedback for improvement.
• Confirm compliance with quality standards and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share findings and support resolution.
• Work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure reliable and repeatable testing results.

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics, Translation, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge:

• Strong command of Canadian French and English (spoken and written).
• Strong understanding of uniqueness of Québécois French.
• Familiarity with ASR, TTS, and translation technologies.
• Familiarity with mobile platforms (Android, iOS).
• Basic understanding of software testing practices and quality assurance methods.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify subtle language or usability issues.

Experience:

• Prior work experience in language testing, translation, transcription, or quality assurance is preferred.
• Experience with ASR, TTS, or NMT technologies is preferred.
• Experience in scripting languages such as python is preferred.
• Experience with AI API usage and related field is preferred.
