Our expectationsYou enjoy analyzing and monitoring daily cash flows. Transacting large sums of money with banks as part of financing or foreign exchange transactions is what drives you. Excel and PowerPoint hold no secrets for you. And you also enjoy working in a team with competent, dynamic, and motivated colleagues. This is the job for you.
Your role
- Manage the daily cash flow forecast model and perform comparative variance analysis with actual results.
- Collaborate and liaise with internal groups and contributors that have an impact on financial flows:
- Accounts Payable
- Real Estate
- Branch Stores
- Carry out financial transactions via banking systems:
- Debt issuance and repayment
- Interest payments
- Currency purchases
- Support the Treasury team in the preparation of financial analyses and presentations to banking partners, the Board of Directors, shareholders, and Rona management.
- Monitor certain financial ratios and liabilities with our creditors.
- Prepare month-end reports (interest calculations, etc.).
- Perform other related tasks.
The skills we’re looking for
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in accounting/finance/treasury.
- Bachelor's degree, CPA/CFA designation, or other equivalent or relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems such as IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), an asset.
- Experience/knowledge of asset-based landing (ABL) financing is an asset.
- Bilingual
