Our Expectations

Reporting to the Department Manager, the Office Technology Technician is responsible for coordinating and executing support activities, overseeing the work of third-party service providers, providing technical expertise in projects, and supporting the administrative center to ensure exceptional customer service. The incumbent must provide technical assistance related to office technology, including software, operating systems, and mobile devices.

The Role

  • Provide user support for computer equipment and software setup and usage

  • Handle incidents and service requests

  • Ensure efficient client follow-up during service interventions and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction

  • Install, test, and update IT equipment (computers, peripherals, programs, and software)

  • Perform maintenance, administration, and security of hardware

  • Draft procedures and various technical documents

  • Follow up on issues and referrals with clients and suppliers

The Skills We’re Looking For

  • College diploma (AEC/DEC) in Computer Science or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Level 2 IT Technician

  • Experience in desktop (PC) and printer environment administration and troubleshooting, including network connectivity

  • Experience in administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows and Citrix environments

  • Operational knowledge and troubleshooting ability for standard business applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, O365, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Adobe PDF Reader and Writer, Java, etc.

  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware issues: PCs (HP, Lenovo), laptops (HP, Lenovo), printers (HP, Xerox, Lexmark)

  • Basic knowledge and experience in implementing and supporting interconnect infrastructure: LAN, WAN, and wireless devices

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with remote management tools

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience diagnosing and troubleshooting desktop/laptop hardware and software issues, as well as related peripherals, printers, or multifunction devices and advanced options/features

  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration (user creation/deletion, profiles, login scripts) and networking concepts (IP addressing)

  • CompTIA A+ certification (an asset)

  • Punctuality, analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong business acumen

  • Written and spoken bilingualism (French and English) to support users across Canada, including unilingual clients

  • Knowledge of retail and distribution environments (an asset)

  • Self-motivated and quick to learn new systems

  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
