Responsibilities
- Provide support to team members and leaders on a wide range of human capital issues including policies, compliance, employee relations, total rewards and performance management
- Participate in recruitment activities for new members. Proactively manage the candidate experience and talent attraction through social media and recruitment platforms.
- Participate in administration for promotions, transfers, job classifications, compensation and annual performance evaluations
- Manager leave of absences, including accommodation requests and maintain contact with benefits and payroll team members
- Administer local programming for CPA students
- Produce reports, conduct analyses, and compile data on human capital programs.
- Conduct exit and stay interviews and manage terminations as appropriate
- Manage employee data records including manual files, payroll and HRIS updates
- Prepare and deliver presentations for internal business; facilitate workgroups, training sessions and meetings
- Independently manage complex human resource projects as assigned including developing solutions, creating action plans and communications
- Compile ad hoc statistical reports and develop recommendations for improvement
- Assist with investigations of complex situations as they arise and provide guidance as needed
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary education and accreditation with HR specialty
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of HR experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills in both French and English
- Completion of, or working towards, CHRP designation is an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with an HRIS is an asset
- Ability to build excellent interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrate discretion, thoroughness, and attention to detail
- Good time and priority management
- Proactive, with a sense of initiative and innovation
- Willingness to travel to various business locations in the region
- Experience in the professional services industry is considered an asset
