This role sits within Laurentian Bank.
The Credit Card Advisor is responsible for and supporting the strategic direction of Laurentian Bank’s products and service offerings. This includes managing the operational aspects of the credit card portfolio to enhance internal efficiencies and customer experience.  The incumbent is also responsible for developing strategic and business objectives for product offer development, inclusive of the detailed logistical planning required to take a new product, service, feature or offer from concept to market. Collaborating with partners across Personal & Commercial Banking (P&C) to continually improve our products and services is a core deliverable.

Responsibilities 

  • Participate in the introduction of new credit card features and services inclusive of operational readiness, product specification development, launch strategy design, business case development and detailed financial analysis 
  • Assist with the long- and short-term strategic goals through the development of a 3-year product roadmap and annual planning.
  • Anticipate and identify emerging trends impacting the business and/or product performance to develop appropriate response strategies.
  • Acts as liaison with external vendors and suppliers to ensure service delivered as per SLAs
  • First line of support for internal or external operational issues for credit cards via ownership of credit card mailbox
  • Management of JIRA board for issue and enhancement tracking
  • Manage and liaison with wider lines of Business and IT to ensure operational readiness for platform releases
  • Incident Management – Assist to investigate outages, incidents, missing files, resolving open issues (LBC and Vendor) 
  • Support and liaison and assist with all troubleshooting with files, data ingestion and general system issues
  • Management of vendor backlog and industry mandates
  • Serve as product champion, ensuring organizational alignment against product objectives.
  • Optimize the credit card operational experience and product performance to support the bank’s growth and profit targets
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and ensure portfolio is able to adapt to the impacts
  • Supports the P&C department and other product managers with analysis and management reporting


Qualifications

  • Bilingual*
  • University Degree in a related field
  • 5 years of product development & management experience
  • Financial services experience (Credit Cards, Lending, Wealth Distribution, Financial Markets, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with market evaluations, financial analysis, business case development, product pricing, new product design, and planning
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy development and launching new products
