Team Overview: Regulatory and Analytics (R&A)

The Regulatory and Analytics (R&A) team within the EDO plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of regulatory reports and in leveraging data analytics to drive business insights. The R&A team collaborates across various business and technology units to implement robust data quality management policies and procedures, and to provide subject matter expertise on regulatory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Data Quality Stewardship: Defendable and Supported Analysis

• Become domain expert in wholesale credit product, business and risk management
• Accountable for DQ review in compliance with Wholesale Credit, EDO and regulatory guidance. Be comprehensive, concise, conclusive and consistent with strong support  
• Responsible for detecting, assessing, measuring, reporting of data anomalies
• Apply new technology and data analytics tools to improve the review efficiency
• Contribute to development and sustainability of R&A Target Operating Model.

Data Analytics Tooling, Automation and AI Development for Wholesale Credit:

• Design and implement analytics for reporting, DQ detection and adjustments, trend analysis and anomaly monitoring using tools like Python, VBA, query, Excel
• Define use cases, collaborate with business, Risk, data modeling, Technology on AI data model training, lead contextualization wholesale credit concepts for AI training
• Drive the resolution of data-related issues to ensure accurate and timely regulatory filing and enhanced internal risk management
• Scope and define business requirements for DQ remediation, data-drive decision intelligence, ollaborate with Product Development on implementation and deployment  

Control Development and Issue Management:   

• Define logic rules and assign appropriate severity level, project manage to ensure quick time-to-market and improve end-to-end data integrity
• Review and enhance regulatory reporting logics to align with regulatory guidance
• Design appropriate testing plan to minimize impact of false positive or false negatives
• Maintain issue log, review and prioritize strategic remediation based on issue scorecard
• Implement and document compensating controls for regulatory reporting

Internal and Regulatory Exam,  Change Management:

• Manage internal and regulatory inquiries, Internal Audit and regulatory exam as the primary for coverage portfolios, back up teammates on others
• Collaborate in regulatory change management with RRIO, Risk, Finance from interpretation to implementation
• Effectively communicate and coordinate implementation, act as R&A SME to support business, Risk and Finance
• Support the development and implementation of best-in-class Data Quality management policies, procedures, and capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Result-oriented, self-motivated for high quality execution with good time management
• Working experience with data analytics tools (Excel, Python, SQL, Power BI / Tableau), hands-on with artificial intelligence technique
• Commitment and aptitude to quickly learn wholesale loan legal agreement and Risk document review. Self-learner mindset who thrives with extensive on-the-job training.
• Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills to drive resolution of complex problems, ability to communicate effectively, succinctly and clearly
• A team player who will collaborate and challenge peers as well as counterparts in front office, Risk and reporting
• Ability to help define and support technology development
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or other data

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI technique, Python, data mining and analytics tools 
• Prior working knowledge of wholesale lending document and US regulatory reporting (e.g. FR-Y14Q, Y-9C and 2052a) is nice to have, but not a must
• 7+ years of experience in the financial services, legal or other regulated industry, with preference of previous wholesale credit and regulatory reporting.
• Business proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, other languages
