Senior Developer – Mainframe Technologies (COBOL / DB2 / AS400)

Position Description:

You will join a team of experienced architects and developers to contribute to the modernization and evolution of a critical system in the banking sector.

This role is intended for a senior developer who is passionate about stability, performance, and large-scale systems — and who has a strong desire to grow into an architectural role.

Responsibilities
• Participate in the technical design of complex applications in a Mainframe environment.
• Develop and maintain well-structured and high-performance COBOL/DB2 code.
• Collaborate with architects to understand architectural principles and contribute to solution design.
• Write clear, maintainable technical documentation.
• Take part in testing, deployment, and application support phases.
• Learn software architecture principles as part of a structured career development plan.

Profile sought
• 5+ years of experience in Mainframe development (COBOL, JCL, DB2, AS400).
• Solid understanding of banking or transactional systems.
• Strong interest in application architecture and critical systems.
• Autonomy, rigor, and technical curiosity.
• Bilingual (French required, functional English).
