Your Role
We are enriching our radio lineup in southwestern Ontario by launching a new regional program on ICI PREMIÈRE and Radio-Canada OHdio. Produced by the local Windsor team, this weekday afternoon drive show will debut this fall. It aims to become a community hub, diving into local conversations about current events, culture, lifestyle and emerging trends.
To lead this ambitious launch, we are looking for a passionate producer with a positive, collaborative leadership style, sharp editorial judgment, a creative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate excels at leveraging the potential of both radio and digital platforms to foster meaningful public conversations. You appreciate the rich diversity of Ontario — especially in the province’s southwestern region — and are committed to authentically representing all of its communities.
Reporting to the Executive Producer, you will plan, conceive, organize and/or develop the production and realization of the afternoon drive show for southwestern Ontario, ensuring it delivers dynamic coverage of current events, culture and community affairs.
You will ensure that work adheres to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices. Nevertheless, there is wide latitude for initiative, independent judgment and creativity. You will regularly supervise and co-ordinate the work of other team members, proactively identifying the best ways to keep the team engaged.
We are looking for a leader who brings fresh ideas and the technical expertise required to deliver the high-quality broadcasts Canadians expect from us. As an outside-the-box thinker, you are someone who is always ready to explore new ways of creating content that is as distinctive, intelligent and innovative as the people we look to hire.
This is a Monday-to-Friday, on-site position based at our Windsor station. The Producer will also collaborate with and support other departments within the station.
