Your role

We are looking for a Producer to join the provincial radio program À échelle humaine, which airs Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on ICI Première in Ontario.

We’re seeking a creative and collaborative leader with excellent editorial judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive, team-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate knows how to harness the full potential of radio and digital platforms to showcase content that fuels public conversation. You understand the diversity of Ontario’s population—from Toronto to Northern and Southwestern Ontario—and the importance of reflecting all communities in our programming.

Under the supervision of the Coordinating Producer, the Producer will be responsible for planning, designing, organizing, and developing the production and direction of À échelle humaine, a show that explores current affairs, culture, and social issues. The program also highlights the cultural diversity of Ontario’s Francophone communities.

The incumbent must ensure that all work complies with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices. At the same time, this role allows for considerable independence, initiative, and creativity. You will lead and coordinate the work of other team members regularly, inspiring and motivating them to produce distinctive, high-quality content.

You bring fresh ideas and the technical expertise needed to create the high-calibre programming Canadians expect from us. You think beyond convention, always looking for new and innovative ways to create distinctive, intelligent content — values that define Radio-Canada’s approach to storytelling.

Please note that this position is based in Toronto, with a Tuesday-to-Saturday work schedule.
