The Communications Department is made up of 10 teams who work together to help the Bank explain its activities to the public and to its employees through various forms of communication. We aim for our communications to be effective, inclusive and well understood by all Canadians.
As Communications at the Bank continues to support a growing portfolio of operational priorities and strategic initiatives, effective planning, coordination and project delivery are increasingly important. The department is strengthening its project management and operational planning capabilities to support complex initiatives, enhance capacity planning, improve decision-making and ensure successful delivery of its objectives.
One important initiative is the Bank of Canada Museum’s multi-year update project (2025–2030+), which will modernize exhibits, digital infrastructure and accessibility features. The project requires sustained coordination across Communications, Information Technology Services (ITS), Corporate Services and external partners. More broadly, this role will help build a more integrated, consistent and proactive approach to planning, governance, reporting and project delivery across the department.
