About the RoleThe Commodity Material Manager will support end-to-end material management for compute and storage infrastructure commodities across APAC. This role plays a key part in ensuring supply continuity, supplier performance, and material readiness to support complex technology infrastructure programs at scale.The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams across supply chain, engineering, planning, sourcing, procurement, finance, and logistics to anticipate risks, resolve constraints, and drive measurable improvements in supplier execution.Key Responsibilities• Manage strategic supplier relationships for assigned compute and storage commodity categories across APAC.• Conduct supplier business reviews to track performance, align on capacity plans, and drive improvements in delivery, lead time, and supply reliability.• Analyze demand and supply data to identify material risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities.• Develop and execute mitigation plans to support material availability, inventory health, and lifecycle transitions.• Coordinate with planning, engineering, procurement, logistics, and operations teams to support new product introduction and production readiness.• Partner with sourcing and procurement teams on cost optimization, supplier qualification, dual-sourcing strategies, and total cost management.• Prepare clear supply health updates, dashboards, and scorecards for leadership reviews and cross-functional forums.• Support regional execution while aligning commodity strategies with broader business and operational priorities.
Required Qualifications• Experience in supply chain management, commodity management, material planning, procurement, or supplier operations within a high-volume manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, or hardware environment.• Practical experience managing suppliers, vendors, or manufacturing partners, including performance tracking and issue resolution.• Experience with rack-level, server, storage, networking, or related hardware commodities.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret demand, supply, inventory, and performance data.• Ability to manage competing priorities across internal teams and external partners.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare leadership-ready updates and recommendations.• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications• Experience supporting hyperscale infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, data center hardware, ODM, OEM, or large-scale technology manufacturing environments.• Experience with compute and storage hardware commodities such as CPUs, GPUs, memory, SSDs, HDDs, PCBAs, connectors, power supplies, or thermal solutions.• Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or supply chain analytics tools such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.• Experience managing supply chains across APAC, including Taiwan, China, or Southeast Asia.• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage where the role involves regular supplier or manufacturing partner communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across APAC.• APICS, ASCM, CSCP, CPIM, MBA, or master’s degree in a relevant field.• Experience supporting cost reduction, lead time improvement, supplier performance, or total cost of ownership initiatives.About the Company / TeamWe work with one shared purpose: to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity.
