This Position reports to:Division Manager
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the business development strategy that is focused on new account development, share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, maintain a healthy pipeline, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies. 

The work model for the role is: hybrid 

This role is contributing to the growth of Motion Drives Business in Canada. 

Your Role: Own the Challenge 

  • Leading the development and implementation of the business development strategy and growth actions. 

  • Understanding the key business drivers, including the customer’s business challenges, translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB. 

  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the accounts through providing current business and long-term plans for the customer. 

  • Defining sales targets, giving input on market price developments monitoring competitors’ activity with the accounts and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are implemented. 

You will join a dynamic and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive. 

What it takes to run what runs the world 

  • Sales & BD Experience: 7–10 years in sales and business development, with a strong track record in the motion and drives market. 

  • Product & Channel Knowledge: Deep understanding of drives products and experience working with Distributors, OEMs, and End Users. 

  • Customer-Focused & Educated: Problem-solving mindset, backed by a degree in a technical or management field. 

  • Bilingual Communication: Comfortable working in both English and French environments.
