Location / Lieu: Timmins
Position / Poste: Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist – Assessment & Planning
Duties / Fonctions:
- Accept referral and review the client plan/documentation as provided by the referral source
· Provide services to adults who have disabilities and are challenged by employment barriers.
· Assist individuals with disabilities to identify realistic employment options through vocational testing, assessment and exploration
· Conduct transferable skills analysis and labour market research
· Provide job placement services including job development, coordination of on the job supports, job site analysis and job accommodation
· Provide employment and motivational counseling
· Case manage services to ensure timely and cost effective service delivery
· Complete required service reports
- Achieve quality service standards for client satisfaction, timely delivery of service and employment outcomes
Qualifications / Compétences requises:
- Eligible to obtain Return to Work Disability Management (RTWDM) designation or equivalent; relevant experience will also be considered
- Minimum of three years experience working in Vocational Rehabilitation with people with disabilities
- Extensive knowledge of private sector and labor market trends
- Sensitivity to issues/barriers that people with disabilities experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication, sales and customer service skills
- Bilingual is an asset
- Well developed time management, organization and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe software
- Ability to document, maintain records and assist in reports

- Accepter les aiguillages et examiner la documentation du client tel que fourni par la source de référence.
- Fournir des services aux adultes en situation de handicap qui sont confrontĂ©s Ă des obstacles Ă l’emploi.
- Effectuer des analyses du marché du travail et des analyses de compétences transférables;
- Recueillir des renseignements et informer les clients sur les tendances du marché du travail, les conditions d’accès aux différentes professions, les compétences requises et autres;
- Conseiller les clients sur les techniques de recherche active d’emploi (curriculum vitae, entrevue d’embauche, stratégies de recherche d’emploi, etc.);
- Négocier des opportunités d’emploi avec des employeurs au besoin;
- Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des plans d’emploi personnalisés afin d’aider les clients à atteindre leurs objectifs à l’intérieur du programme;
- Veiller à la satisfaction de la clientèle et à l’atteinte des standards de qualité.
Qualifications / Compétences requises:
- Eligible pour obtenir le diplĂ´me de gestion de l’incapacitĂ© de retour au travail (RTWDM), College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) ou Ă©quivalent ; l’expĂ©rience pertinente sera Ă©galement prise en compte.
- Posséder 3 années d’expérience pertinente (réadaptation professionnelle, employabilité, orientation professionnelle ou autres)
- Être membre d’un ordre professionnel ou être admissible à un ordre (VRA Canada, OCCOQ)
- Excellente connaissance du marché du travail;
- Bilinguisme anglais/français, un atout;
- Excellentes habiletés au niveau des communications orales et écrites;
- Excellent sens de l’organisation, de négociation et de résolution de problèmes
- Avoir accès à une automobile et posséder un permis de conduire valide;
